What if you start living every day, doing anything you want?
We live in a world of checks and balances, work hard to deserve rewards, and push, push, push and then collapse. I say flip that on its head and let’s start living the life we want right this very moment.
I invite you to wash away the antiquated concepts of reward, permission, deserving, and earning. Why not bring in as much joy as humanly possibly; always, at all times for no reason at all except for the fact that it is within your power to do so.
Create a world for yourself where you get to play by your own rules, and the first rule is there are no rules! ☺
How to Play By Your Own Rules
Drop the meaning of the days of the week. Instead live every day like it’s a weekend. No more TGIF, instead make each day filled with joy and all good things. Thank God It’s Today will become your new mantra! You don’t have to work hard to deserve a massage, or the luxury of a hot bath, an extra delicious favorite meal, or taking a mental health day.
Spend some time discovering what makes you giggle. Invite practices into your life that make you feel extra special. Don’t wait for your birthday or anniversary, or vacation. Live your life how you want it now, for the simple reason that it is within your power to do so.
We can all work and keep our lives in order and have a little room left in our lives. If that isn’t the case for you then reach out and we can help you restyle your life to have more balance. Fill all the spaces in your life with playful activities; silliness, light-hearted, and task-less rituals. Put joy on the menu!
Meaningless Joy is Meaningful
Meaningless joy is actually quite meaningful in our lives. Ironically there is great meaning in this one and the intention is clear. I want you to do anything you want that makes you happy, feels like play, is without goals, and is radically joyful. It doesn’t have to carry meaning like most of our life choices can, that’s the meaningless part. Shift your cognitive thinking mind into a pattern of doing things for no reason whatsoever except for it making you feel good; that’s it. Period. The end.
Stay With It
I hope these notes give you a jumping off point to shifting your consciousness a bit and practice treating every day like the special gift that it is. Life is a gift that you are allowed to unwrap like a birthday present every damn day. It is your birthright to touch upon this level of kindness from yourself, to yourself.
I encourage you to discover just how much pleasure you can feel. I live my life this way and I invite you to join me. Please share your discoveries with me and ask me any questions you may have. It’s okay if it feels a bit weird in the beginning. That’s actually a good thing that means you are trying something new. I’m proud of you. I would close with saying something like ‘you deserve it!’ but that is exactly what I want us, as a species, to shift away from.
You don’t get to live this way because you deserve it. You get to live this way because it is why we are here. Explore. Play. Discover.
Sending you massive blessings of good health and lots of joy!
