Cosori Air Fryer
The COSORI Air Fryer, 12-in-1, 6.8-Quart, with Dual Blaze Technology isn’t just a mouthful, it leads to one!! I’ve been bragging about my air fryer for years but it was a cheap model, so I recently upgraded. Now, the title air fryer is confusing to a lot of people — this won’t deep fry anything but it will cook things fast, convection-style, and the oil accumulates below the basket so it’s definitely a bit more healthy.
My absolute favorite thing to make in the air fryer is wings. 15 mins at 385*, flip them, 10 more mins at 385*, pour the fat from below into a pan to make your sauce, add whatever spices you’re using (my fave is Old Bay) and s tablespoon of butter, then coat the wings and return them to the air fryer for 5 mins at 400* to get extra crispy! The Cosori eliminates at least one of those steps because with “dual blaze technology” AKA two heating coils, top and bottom, there’s no more need to flip your food!
The wifi elements are fun, too. Who doesn’t love yelling at Alexa to cook their food? “Alexa, make me some cookies while you’re at it, will ya? I’m starving!” Anywho, the Cosori is bigger and better and it’s on major sale right now on Amazon for $139.99, which is a $70 price drop from the last time I was looking at this model online. Try it out today!

Spring has sprung, in fact just today. Everything starts to wake back up, including the birds. Nothing says spring like opening your window and watching the birds feather their nests, getting ready for eggs to hatch in the warm weather. While I’m currently lucky enough to be sitting on the steps, looking into my backyard as I write this, I’ve spent plenty of time (and probably will again) in cities where I have to trek to the park to get an ornithological fix.
Maybe that’s why I am so utterly charmed by the company MetalBird. It grew out of a 2009 art project when the company’s creator Phil Walters began installing life-sized metal silhouettes of birds around his New Zealand neighborhood. Intricate but sturdy cut-outs of cardinals, hummingbirds, even Great Horned owls can be easily tapped into any wooden surface to catch the light and create the feeling of nature in even the most urban setting. And best of all they’re having a Mother’s Day special with percentages off on most styles. Do you hear it? That’s the sweet melodic chirp of the early bird!
Crafted with over 70% recycled materials, MetalBird’s life-like sculptures are not only sustainable, but the company is dedicated to helping sustain bird-supporting communities all over the world including American Bird Conservancy, Canada’s Ducks Unlimited as well as New Zealand’s Forest & Bird. All the more reason to choose one of these sweet and charming silhouettes for someone you love.

For those who travel to their backyard 🙂 It’s no secret that, in the pursuit of the “perfect lawn,” we introduce harmful herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers into our environment while wasting thousands of gallons of water. While a lush green lawn looks nice, our family was looking for a low maintenance and environmentally conscious alternative – that’s why we’re slowly transitioning our lawn from traditional grass to clover.
